Internet connection options
To do well in an online class, you need access to stable, reliable Internet access. Many of us have the Internet in our homes, of course. If you do not have the Internet at home or if your Internet service is interrupted for any reason, keep in mind that you can access the Internet at many other places, such as the following:
Mt Hood Campus
MHCC offers a free wireless network for students to use. If you are on campus for classes or visit to do some research or studying, take advantage of the fast Wi-Fi. Or make use of one of the computers in a MHCC computer lab. Learn how to login to the MHCC Student network.
Public Libraries
Don't forget the awesome network of public libraries available around the community. Check the library website or call ahead to confirm Internet availability.
Other Schools
If you often visit or live near another school, you may be able to connect to their Internet while visiting. Check the school website or call ahead to confirm Internet availability.
Businesses with free Wi-Fi
If you have a favorite haunt where you like to study (coffee shops, fast-food restaurants, and so on), you may also be able to connect to their Wi-Fi while visiting.
