Students cannot log in to Blackboard before the first day of the term OR if they do not have any current classes located in Blackboard.

Why Can't I Login in to Blackboard?

Students only have access to Blackboard if they are currently completing a course. You will not have access to past or future term courses.

Make sure the class you are trying to access has started. Some classes start later in the term.

If you have added a class after the start of the term, thre might be a short delay before you are able to log in to Blackboard. If your login does not work immediately after adding a class, please try again within the hour.

You will not be able to login or see your course on your menu until you are officially moved off the waitlist and registered for the course.

You may not be able to login if you have a hold on your account. Please check with Admissions, Registration, and Records if you are concerned about an account hold.

If you enter a bad username and password combination too many times, your Blackboard account will become disabled.

A message will appear if you are locked out of your account. Use the Forgot Your Password? link to reset your password

You will know you are locked out of your Blackboard account if a message appears above the login fields that tells you your user account is locked.

  • You can choose to wait longer than 15 minutes and try to login again.
  • Or you can choose to log in immediately by changing your password.

Unlock Account by Changing Password

  1. Click Forgot Your Password? below the Login button
  2. A pop-up window will appear
  3. Enter your information in the pop-up window
  4. You will be emailed instructions to change your password (the email will have the subject Lost Password Notification)
  5. Click the link in the email
  6. Enter your new password and confirm it
  7. Password will be updated immediately and you will be able to login without further delay
