Post an Image in a Discussion
If your instructor asks you to include an image in a discussion post there, are two common methods: attach the image and include the image in the post. If you attach the image, everyone who wants to see the image will first have to open your post, then open the attachment. The better method is to include the image in the body of your discussion post. Here's how... These directions work if the image is on your local device (your phone or your computer, for example).
Post the Image
- Navigate to the discussion. Click the button to begin your thread or reply.
- When the editor opens, expand the toolbar if it is collapsed
- Click the Add Content button in the toolbar. It can be found at the right end of the bottom row of the toolbar.
- Click Insert Local Files. This will allow you to find the image file on your local drive.
- Click Insert at the bottom right to finish adding the image to your post
